The Ancient city of Nirikos<\/strong><\/h4>\n

This archaeological site includes the ruins of ancient Lefkada, dating from the Archaic to Roman times, the two cemeteries of the ancient city, individual monuments and scattered building remains such as tombs, farmhouses and port facilities. The Castle of Agia Mavra<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Castle of Agia Mavra is the castle you find at the entrance to the town of Lefkada. It was founded in the 13th century by the Frankish ruler John Orsini . It was created to protect the area from pirate raids and the Turks. “Papanikoli” cave<\/strong><\/h4>\n

It is a sea cave located in Meganisi and has a depth of about thirty meters with a small fairy-tale sandy beach inside. The Temple of Pantokrator in Lefkada is one of the important historical and religious attractions on the island. Inside you will admire frescoes by famous hagiographers as well as rare images. It was built in 1864 and belonged to the family of the poet Aristotelis Valaoritis.
